Friday 6th October
The funeral
Music played a very large part in George Bullard's funeral at
Whitley Parish church on Thursday 5th October. As well as many
of his favourite hymns and classical melodies, there were tracks
from "Senses and Impressions" and vocal recordings from Stef,
who sang "Panis Angelicus" and Luke, whose vocal on "Not Far
Away"
is now familiar to many people who have contributed to
Diana Siegler's appeal. Such a celebration of his love of music
provided the perfect farewell for a truly great man.

Friday 29th September
Martin would like to thank all those people for their messages of
good will concerning the death of his father. Although he cannot
reply to each individual message (there are so many) he has
read them all. It is quite clear that, with so many people
around the world offering their condolescences, he needs never
be alone.

Wednesday 27th September
Sad news
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my father,
George Edmund Bullard, born 14th January 1925. He was a kind and
generous man who excelled in everything he did. In spite of
austere conditions in his early years he became successful,
first in his rapid promotions through the army ranks and later
in the Money Market in the City of London. His work brought him
into the company of many overseas bankers and created a wordlwide
network of friends. As a sportsman he had an impressive record,
which included bowling a double hat trick and scoring a century
during the same match for Surrey.
He was a wonderful father - kind and generous, and he will be
greatly missed by children and grand children alike. He kept
his sense of humour right to the end, in spite of the pain of
cancer. He has set an example to all of us.
